Master Class on Rooftop Solar by GSES

8th April 2017 at Hitex, Hyderabad

GSES brings to you a one day dedicated and in-depth Master class Grid Connected PV Rooftop Systems. The Master Class will be conducted by the renowned faculty of GSES and the current Managing Director Mr. Dwipen Boruah, and aims to fill technical and knowledge gaps in Installation, Design and Safety Aspects and Maximisation of Performance.

The Day long Master Class will be held concurrently with Second Edition of RenewX happening from 7-8 April at Hitex, Hyderabad. The event is a dedicated Expo for South India and a two day Conference on " Sourcing the Sun" highlighting the Customer Angle in Solar Rooftop.

Solar Industry professionals, PV engineers, system designers or anyone else involved with designing/ implementing grid connected PV systems.

  1. Overview of solar PV technology, characteristics of solar modules and quality issues
  2. System design requirements and technical specifications as per IEC 62548.

Training Methodology:

The course will be delivered in lecture format using PowerPoint, sharing of case examples, design exercises, energy yield estimation exercises, design tasks exercise and installation exercise. There will be a guided tour to a functional grid connected PV systems.

  • A copy of GSES ' Grid Connected PV Systems Design and Installation' training manual
  • Copies of power point presentations, design tasks, case studies and sample documents
  • Equipment, accessories and tools for demonstration

GSES Trainers:

Principal trainer for this Master Class will be Mr. Dwipen Boruah

Mr. Dwipen Boruah is currently Managing Director of GSES India. A mechanical engineer and masters in renewable energy from Oldenburg University, Germany, Dwipen has over 26 years of experience in renewable energy planning, project implementation, consultancy and training. His activities include engineering design, project management, procurement management, feasibility and techno economic due diligence, rural village electrification and renewable energy planning. Mr. Boruah has authored and co-authored books and training manuals on solar PV system design installation, maintenance and inspection.
