Powering the Roofs:

Session Brief: The rooftop segment in India has not been able to pick up pace as only about 2 GW of solar PV capacity has been deployed till date in spite of an active push by the MNRE by rolling out solar policies. This candid session will discuss salient changes in the MNRE’s solar rooftop policy and the alterations in value chain that are expected to ensue in the process so as to make the road to rooftops easier for a cleaner and energy secure India.

Waste to Energy: Convergence of Technology, Incentives, Challenges & State Policy

Session Brief: Waste-to-energy (WtE) is the process of generating energy from the primary treatment of waste. WtE is a form of energy recovery. Most WtE processes produce electricity and/or heat directly through combustion, or produce a combustible fuel commodity, such as methane, methanol, ethanol or synthetic fuels. A proper ecosystem is required to implement converging technology, and incentive to bring out the result.
